THREE ACRE WOOD FARMS, newly built and owned by A. Ronald Johnson and Dr. Elizabeth Stauber-Johnson, is a small, exclusive, privately owned quarter horse breeding farm in Northern Minnesota, dedicated to breeding and raising national quality show babies. The handful of broodmares at the farm have been carefully selected over several years and through nation wide searches, each being an own daughter of the great Quarter Horses of modern times, including Zippo Pine Bar, Hotrodders Jet Set, Zipped N Barred, Iron Rebel, Blazing Hot and Radical Rodder.
Each foal born on the farm, sired by the elite in the Quarter Horse industry, is handled individually on a daily basis to help ensure the best in manners and great mindedness. Yearlings and two year olds are started on the farm or sent to a top trainer, one carefully chosen for training methods and expertise most appropriate for the continued success of the colt or filly involved. Much pride is taken in the breeding, management and eventual competition each one of the foals will be a part of. Visitors are welcome at all times, whether interested in a purchase or simply to admire beautiful mothers and the potential champions of the Quarter Horse world. All foals are nominated to the AQHA Incentive Fund, the NSBA Breeders Championship and the Just For Pleasure Incentive Futurities, among others.
